How WinConch Ltd collects and uses personal information through The Drop League
Last updated: 15 July 2026The Drop League is operated by WinConch Ltd (“we”, “us” or “our”), a company registered in England and Wales under company number 16605747. Our registered office is 128 City Road, London, EC1V 2NX, United Kingdom.
For data-protection purposes, WinConch Ltd is the controller of personal information collected through The Drop League. You can contact us at info@thedropleague.com.
This policy applies to website visitors, waitlist members, paying participants, prospective participants and anyone who contacts us. The service is intended for adults aged 18 or over.
In the context of a weight-loss accountability service, weight information and weigh-in evidence may reveal information about health and may be treated as special-category personal data. We use this information only to operate the league, verify submissions, calculate progress, investigate disputes and maintain the integrity of the competition.
Where explicit consent is required, we will ask for it separately from the general terms. You may withdraw consent by emailing info@thedropleague.com. Withdrawal does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal. Because verified weight data is central to the service, withdrawing consent may mean that we can no longer provide some or all league functions to you.

Your raw weight is not displayed publicly or to other members. Depending on the league feature, other participants may see your name or display name, team, percentage change, points, completed or missed weigh-ins, position and competition results.
If WhatsApp groups are used, your telephone number, profile name, profile photograph and other profile details may be visible to other group members depending on WhatsApp’s settings. Do not join a group unless you are comfortable with this. Information posted in a group is also processed under WhatsApp’s own terms and privacy arrangements.
We do not sell personal information to advertisers.
Some service providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where this happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure that an appropriate transfer mechanism or safeguard is in place, such as UK adequacy regulations, approved contractual clauses or another lawful safeguard.
| Information | Typical retention |
|---|---|
| Raw weight records and weigh-in photographs or videos | For the relevant 12-week season and until final results are confirmed; normally deleted within 30 days after the season ends, unless a dispute, suspected fraud, safeguarding issue or legal claim requires temporary retention. |

| Payment, invoice and accounting records | Normally six years from the end of the relevant financial year, or longer where legally required. |
| Support, complaint and dispute correspondence | Normally up to six years where needed to establish or defend legal rights; routine enquiries may be deleted sooner. |

| Consent records | For as long as needed to demonstrate what was agreed and our compliance obligations. |
| Cookie and analytics information | According to the duration stated in the cookie settings tool and the relevant provider’s settings. |
We use reasonable organisational and technical measures designed to protect personal information, including access controls, secure hosting, limited administrator access and secure payment processing. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for protecting your password and for keeping your account details accurate.
Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to access, correct, erase or restrict your information; object to certain processing; receive portable data; withdraw consent; and complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office. Some rights are subject to legal exceptions.
To exercise a right, email info@thedropleague.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
Please contact us first so that we can try to resolve any concern. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.
We may update this policy when our service, suppliers or legal obligations change. The current version will be published on the website with an updated date. Material changes may also be communicated by email or through your account.

Terms governing purchase and participation in The Drop League
Last updated: 15 July 2026These terms apply when you buy or use a paid season of The Drop League. They form a contract between you and WinConch Ltd, company number 16605747, whose registered office is 128 City Road, London, EC1V 2NX, United Kingdom. Contact: info@thedropleague.com.
A purchase provides entry to one 12-week Drop League season, subject to the minimum player requirement and these terms. The package may include account access, private weigh-in submission, percentage-based scoring, team allocation, league and cup features, team communications and any prizes described for that season.
The service is a one-off season purchase. It is not a rolling subscription unless the checkout expressly says otherwise. Joining a later season requires a new purchase or a separately stated transfer or prize entitlement.
The total price, including any applicable taxes, is shown before payment. Payment is taken through the checkout provider. Your order is accepted and the contract is formed when payment has been successfully processed and we send a confirmation email, unless the confirmation states that further eligibility checks are required.
A season requires at least 16 paid players and is limited to 24 players. Your 12-week season does not begin on the day you pay. It begins on the official start date confirmed by us.
We will normally confirm the official start date at least seven days in advance. If 16 paid players have not joined within 28 days after paid registration opens, you may choose either a full refund to the original payment method or a transfer to the next available season. No administration fee will be deducted.
If registration reaches 24 players, further applicants may be placed on a waitlist or offered a later season. We may adjust team size or allocation within the published minimum and maximum where reasonably required to operate a fair competition.
You must keep login details secure and tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without permission. Service messages, start-date notices, weigh-in reminders, results and rule updates may be sent by email, dashboard notification or another contact method supplied by you.
Team communication may use WhatsApp. WhatsApp group members may be able to see your telephone number and profile details. You are responsible for your own WhatsApp privacy settings and conduct. You must not copy, publish or misuse another member’s contact details or private messages.
The Drop League is an accountability and competition platform. It does not provide medical, dietary, psychological or clinical advice and is not a substitute for professional care. We do not prescribe a diet or exercise programme and do not guarantee any particular weight-loss result.
You are responsible for decisions about food, exercise, medication and health. Seek advice from an appropriate healthcare professional before making significant lifestyle changes, particularly if you have a medical condition, take medication, are pregnant, have a history of eating disorder or have concerns about your health. Stop and seek medical advice if you become unwell.
We may request further evidence, correct an obvious error, reject a late or unverifiable submission, investigate suspected manipulation and amend standings where reasonably necessary. We will aim to apply rules consistently and give affected members a reasonable opportunity to explain disputed information.
We may warn, suspend or remove a participant for serious or repeated rule breaches, abusive conduct, dishonesty, fraud, interference with the service, unlawful activity or conduct that creates a material risk to other members or the business. Where appropriate, we will explain the reason and allow a response. Immediate action may be taken where necessary for safety or security.
We aim to keep the service available but cannot promise uninterrupted access. We may make reasonable technical, security or operational changes that do not materially reduce the paid service. Planned maintenance and events outside our reasonable control may cause temporary disruption.
The Drop League name, branding, website, dashboard, scoring presentation, text, graphics and software are owned by or licensed to us. You may use them only as necessary for personal participation. You must not reproduce, sell, scrape, reverse engineer or commercially exploit them without written permission.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation or your statutory consumer rights.
We are responsible for foreseeable loss caused by our breach of these terms or failure to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for losses that were not foreseeable, for business losses arising from a consumer purchase, or for the independent acts of other members or third-party services that are outside our reasonable control.
Your cancellation rights and the circumstances in which refunds or transfers are available are set out in the Cancellation and Refund Policy. That policy forms part of these terms and does not reduce your statutory rights.
The terms that apply to your purchase are the version accepted at checkout. We may update terms for future purchases. If a change is required during a season for legal, safety or operational reasons, we will provide reasonable notice and will not remove rights that have already accrued.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the United Kingdom, you may also have the protection of mandatory consumer law and may be able to bring proceedings in your local courts. Please contact us first at info@thedropleague.com so that we can try to resolve a dispute.
How a 12-week Drop League season operates
Last updated: 15 July 2026Each season runs for 12 consecutive scoring weeks from the official start date. A season requires at least 16 paid players and is limited to 24 players. Participants are allocated to teams, normally with four to six players per team.
The weekly weigh-in deadline will be shown in the dashboard and confirmed in season communications. A submission must be completed by that deadline using the method requested. Participants are responsible for allowing enough time to upload information before the deadline.
A weigh-in may require a photograph, video or other verification detail. We may reject a submission that is late, incomplete, altered, unclear or inconsistent with the verification instructions.
Raw weight is private and is not shown to other participants. League features may display percentage change, points, attendance, team contribution, position and results.
Points are awarded according to the percentage change in body weight and the scoring method published for the season. Using percentage change helps compare participants with different starting weights. The scoring table and any weekly cap will be made available before the first scoring deadline.
A participant who misses the weekly deadline scores zero points for that week. The zero remains included when the team average is calculated. In other words, the absent player is still counted in the number of team members used to calculate the average; the team does not receive the benefit of simply removing that player from the calculation.
Repeated missed weigh-ins may lead to a welfare check, warning or removal from active participation, but do not automatically create a right to a refund.
Team groups are for accountability, support, reminders and reasonable banter. Members must not harass, threaten, discriminate against, shame or repeatedly contact someone who has asked them to stop. Do not share another member’s telephone number, health information, screenshots or private messages outside the group without permission.
Commercial promotion, spam, illegal content, explicit material and unqualified medical advice are not permitted. Report serious concerns to info@thedropleague.com.
Standings may be corrected where data was entered incorrectly, a submission is rejected or an appeal succeeds. Any cup format, tie-break rules, fixture rules and progression criteria will be published before the relevant competition begins.
Prize descriptions, values, eligibility requirements, tie-break rules and delivery arrangements will be published before the season starts. A participant must have complied with these rules and provided any reasonably requested verification to receive a prize. A participant disqualified for dishonest conduct is not eligible for a prize.
A scoring or conduct concern should be emailed to info@thedropleague.com as soon as possible and normally within 48 hours of the relevant result or event. Include enough information for us to investigate. We may ask for further evidence and will aim to decide matters reasonably and consistently.
Possible action includes a reminder, warning, rejection of a submission, deduction or correction of points, temporary suspension, removal from a group, disqualification or removal from the season. The response will depend on seriousness, evidence, previous conduct and any safety or legal risk.
Your cancellation rights, season-start protection and refund arrangements
Last updated: 15 July 2026To cancel, request a refund or ask to transfer a place, email info@thedropleague.com. Include the purchaser’s name, email address, payment date and enough information for us to identify the order.
You may cancel a paid online purchase within 14 days after the contract is formed without giving a reason. Where the paid service has not started, an eligible cancellation will receive a full refund.
If you expressly ask us to begin supplying the service during the 14-day cancellation period, we may deduct a reasonable amount reflecting the service supplied before cancellation, where the law permits. We will ask for any necessary express request separately and clearly.
A season requires at least 16 paid players. If the minimum has not been reached within 28 days after paid registration opens, you may choose:
No administration fee will be deducted. We will contact you using the email address provided at purchase.
If we cancel a season, you will receive a full refund or may choose a transfer. If we materially delay a confirmed season start and the revised date is not acceptable, you may request a full refund before taking part in the revised season.
After the statutory cancellation period, refunds are not normally provided merely because a participant changes their mind, misses weigh-ins, stops using the service, leaves a WhatsApp group or does not achieve the result they hoped for.
This does not affect statutory rights where the service is not supplied with reasonable care and skill, is materially misdescribed or another legal remedy applies.
A participant removed for serious or repeated breaches of the Terms or Season Rules will not normally receive a refund for the unused portion of the season. We will consider the circumstances, the seriousness of the conduct and applicable consumer law.
Approved refunds will be sent to the original payment method, normally within 14 days after we agree that a refund is due or receive a valid cancellation notice. Card-provider and bank processing times are outside our control.
